Data from Feeding America estimates that 15% of people in counties served by United Way are considered Food Insecure. Food insecurity is defined by “the condition of not having access to sufficient food, or food of an adequate quality, to meet one's basic needs.” At this Women United Lunch & Learn, we will hear from local agency leaders who work directly with clients facing food insecurity about this problem and how it impacts people in our community!
