Event Description:
“EVERYONE NEEDS TO HEAR THIS”
HAYS brings Suicide Prevention Forum to Hannibal
The Hannibal Alliance for Youth Success (HAYS) organization is bringing Jeff Yalden to Hannibal, MO to have a conversation about the realities of suicide and its aftermath effects on all of us. But most of all, Jeff wants to speak to our young people about how important they are and about living their lives in a way they will realize each and every one of them have worth; that their lives matter. He wants to help our community prevent suicides, not have to deal with its aftermath.
The entire Hannibal community and surrounding communities are invited to attend an evening forum with Jeff Yalden on Thursday, February 16 at the Hannibal Nutrition Center located at 219 South 10th Street in Hannibal, MO. The program begins at 6:30 PM. Doors will open at 5:45 PM. There is no charge to attend this event.
Motivated to teach and inspire teens across the globe, Jeff Yalden is a high energy, “tell it like it is” youth motivational speaker, mental health advocate, and parent communicator. He is a dynamic and entertaining youth speaker for high school and middle school assemblies. He is the man that schools call when they’ve experienced a suicide. He brings students forward through a grieving process and has a gift for connecting with teens and educating parents.
In addition to the evening forum, Jeff will conduct student assemblies at Hannibal High School and Hannibal Middle School and a small-group working luncheon.
Everyone needs to hear Jeff. Our community and those around us need to be able to talk openly about suicide and how to watch for red flags. Jeff will encourage his audience to not be afraid to ask for help and to open their hearts while losing their egos. Learn more about Jeff at www.jeffyalden.com/suicide-prevention-training/.
The following sponsors have made this forum possible: The Riedel Foundation; Early Bird Kiwanis of Hannibal; The Eleanor Neff Foundation; Justin & Brooke Gibson; R. O. Parker; Hannibal Regional Healthcare System; Casey General Stores.
