The fifth annual Pedal Power event is Jan.7 at the Admiral Coontz Recreation Center, cosponsored by Parents as Teachers. The Hannibal Parks & Recreation Department is opening up the building from 10 a.m. to noon for youngsters ages 2-6 to bring their pedal-powered vehicles inside to ride. Parents as Teachers will have other interactive play available. Cones will designate where the riders can go and all equipment must be clean. Big Wheels, tricycle, bicycles with training wheels and other pedal-powered vehicles are allowed. Children may not be left at the event without a parent or guardian.
